ISD, is this the right subforum to showcase my development of my fangame? If not, please move this to the appropriate subforum.
Since I was heavily involved in a fangame project within the months of late 2011-2012, making SMB3 Custom levels were made less frequently. In fact, my SMB3 hack was on hiatius for a good while. So during these months, while I was still developing SMW: ASE, which is my friend's ~CaMtEnDo~'s project, I worked on my own known as Mysterious Islandz.
Mysterious Islandz is my Mario fangame made in Game Maker 8. I was heavily inspired by the works of xIque that allowed me to develop my game, but I have my own plans on how will I develop this game. It features 9 Worlds total, here are the themes of the islands in the list below
World 1: Grass/Forest Theme
World 2: Pipes/Piranha Plants Theme
World 3: Desert Ruins Theme
World 4: Cold World theme
World 5: Heights Theme
World 6: Super Mario Bros. Special for NEC Theme
World 7: Strange Mario Bros. theme
World 8: Water/Jungle World
World 9: Barren/Military Theme
Power ups featured currently are:
Mushroom
Fire Flower
Ice Flower
Carrot
Hammer Suit
Ranger Suit
Propeller Suit
Bomb Mushroom
Other features are:
SPC700 files are used as the music system thanks to two dlls known as GMSPC.dll and ZDSPCDLL.dll. Which means, the spcs Ive ripped from SMW hacks using ZSNES can be used in my game.
The plot of this game is that Mario jumped into a pipe while in the Mushroom Kingdom after eavesdropping some lowly enemies discussing about some previously unknown island chain. When he arrived out of the green pipe, he is located in a forested island (not very dense, as sunlight can be seen above and the shoreline is clearly visible). Unknown about this place, and wanting to get back to the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario explores the Mysterious Island Chain in hopes of finding a pipe that leads back to the Mushroom Kingdom. Also unknown to Mario, Bowser sets up shop in the island chain, planning to kidnap the princess and to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom. Hes currently recruiting some natives to the island chain into the Koopa Troop in hopes of overpowering the Mushroom Kingdom. So the objective is to return to the Mushroom Kingdom and later in the game, stop Bowser from conquering the Mushroom Kingdom.

What you will see in levels:
ROM-Hacky level design that has a higher degree of difficulty.
Worlds 1, 3, 5, 7 will have one level where a switch palace is located, marked by a hollow colored block.
Every End Castle level will test the player's skill.
If you wanna beat this game, you'll have to work for it as its not meant to be easy.
